This week I will be reviewing a lineup of films centered on artificial intelligence. After experimenting with tools like Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT, I wanted to dive into movies that imagine where this technology may lead us, both for better and for worse.
I am hoping this week explores not only exciting possibilities, but also the social and ethical costs that can come with rapid AI adoption. Questions around work, identity and dependency are becoming more urgent every year, and cinema is one of the best places to test those ideas emotionally.
