Hollow City (2004)

Hollow City is a 2004 full-length movie directed by Angolan-born director Maria Joao Ganga. The film is one of the first to be produced in Angola since the end of the civil war, and the first film produced by an Angolan woman. Filming was done on location in Luanda, Angola. Wanting to return to his hometown of Bie, N'dala flees from the nuns who have saved him into the streets of the city. Lore (2012)

Lore is a 2012 Australian-German film written by Robin Mukherjee, co-written and directed by Cate Shortland and funded by the UK Film Council. It stars Saskia Rosendahl, Kai Malina, Nele Trebs and Ursina Lardi. The film had its Australian premiere at the 2012 Sydney Film Festival. Lore received the Feature Film Production of the Year Award at the 2013 Screen Producers Australia Awards. Lore also received the bronze award for Outstanding Feature Film at the German Film Awards. Lore has also received 17 other awards internationally.
