Cosmopolis is a 2012 Canadian drama thriller film written, produced, as well as directed by David Cronenberg and starring Robert Pattinson. It is based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo. Colin Farrell was initially cast in the main role but left due to scheduling difficulties with Total Recall. He was later replaced by Pattinson. Marion Cotillard was involved in the project but also left because of scheduling conflicts. The soundtrack reunited composer Howard Shore and the Canadian indie rock band Metric who had previously collaborated on a song for Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack.
Riding across Manhattan in a stretch limo in order to get a haircut, a 28-year-old billionaire asset manager's day devolves into an odyssey with a cast of characters that start to tear his world apart.
***SPOILER ALERT***
I would like to add a line to the script of this movie: "Eric - My prostate will become symmetric, so I will go to the library and let the rats rain on me on my way there, don't forget to buy me some Greek yogurt." there, perfect!
Even though I wasn't understanding what was going on, I was interested in maintaining my state of confusion.
