Are You Here (2013)

Are You Here is a 2014 American comedy film directed by Matthew Weiner. The film stars Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, and Amy Poehler. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival in September. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Aniston were originally cast in the lead roles.

Ben Baker is a man-child who lives on his friend's couch getting high. His friend, Steve Dallas, is a moderately successful weather reporter living a superficial life. When Ben receives word that his father has died, Steve drives him home, and they reconnect with Ben's successful and driven sister, Terri, and his hippie stepmother, Angela, who is the same age as they are. The reading of the will drives Ben to come up with a new purpose in life, but those around him don't prove to be very supportive, and they are all forced to re-examine their own lives.
