Freddy and Krasnaya Movie Review
***SPOILER ALERT***

F: Ron's Gone Wrong is a fun movie to watch with your kids. I've watched the Brazilian dubbed version and I've also watched some scenes in English because I had to hear funny man Zack Gallafinakis' voice on that robot. The dubbed version wasn't bad at all. Some jokes were missed in translation, but overall they did a great job, and some scenes ended up being funnier in Portuguese.

K: So we are into animation this week thanks to the long weekend (25th of April Holiday)! And what a relief this time! This is an incredibly kind and cute movie that touches on really important subjects of the modern world - technology and lack of communication between kids (mostly teenagers) as well as of communication between parents and kids.

F: I really liked the characters in this movie, especially Ron, of course. Amazing how two little black dots and a cylinder-shaped metal box can be so expressive. The father character is also very funny simply because of the way he dresses. Tie and pajama pants, that's work from home for you. I've also enjoyed how the movie approached all the negative consequences and dangers of technology and the internet. It's good that they lead kids to think about this stuff. Remember kids, there could be a creepy Steve Jobs lookalike looking at you through your phone right now.

K: This movie is the debut of Locksmith Animation studio and the guys did a great job! The characters are made with love, so you naturally start to emphasize with them as you go through the story. There are lots of funny moments and touching ones. And yap, I absolutely agree Ron is absolutely adorable, really expressive and that woolly hat makes him even cuter πŸ€—!

Ron is going to destroy you

K: The main idea of this animation is that true friendship cannot be programmed, it must be alive and gadgets cannot replace human communication and love. Let's hope that this movie makes more kids understand that to be non-standard, to be original in a world where everything is the same for everyone, is a really great thing.

Cute little Ron Robot
Look at that cute little robot
F: I was able to maintain my attention until the end of the movie, which is rare nowadays when watching animation movies. I didn't check my phone once to see my social media inbox with 0 messages again 😒. It's a good story about friendship that you've heard many times before but with a cute little robot in the mix now. It worked for me. I give it a πŸ‘.

Freddy's Score: 72/100

Frank Oz: From Worst to Best

I've finished my Frank Oz filmography a while back and hadn't had the time to post here the rank and some thoughts about his work. Let's try to refresh my memory and give you some of my opinions... man. Frank Oz is a true legend. At 81, he's not just a brilliant filmmaker but also a puppeteer and writer whose characters, from the Muppets to Sesame Street, have touched countless lives. His directing career is full of outstanding, entertaining movies; out of 14 films, there's really only one rotten apple in the bunch. I'm not sure if he's planning to make any more movies, but I'd love to see him try his hand at a serious drama, just to see him flex a different creative muscle. I wouldn't like to be that famous, I value my privacy. Mind you, Miss Piggy enjoys every moment of it. If it were not for me, she would spend all her time in the limelight. Frank OZ This is his entire fi...
