Funny People is a 2009 American comedy-drama film written, produced and directed by Judd Apatow, and starring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Leslie Mann. Funny People uses considerably more dramatic elements than seen in Apatow's previous films. The supporting cast features Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman, Jonah Hill and Aubrey Plaza. The film received generally positive reviews, with praise for the performances of Sandler and Rogen, the script and directing.
George is a very successful stand up comedian who learns that he has an untreatable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. Ira is a struggling up-and-coming stand up comedian who works at a deli and has yet to figure out his onstage persona. One night, these two perform at the same club and George takes notice of Ira. George hires Ira to be his semi-personal assistant as well as his friend.

Too many penis jokes, but I can't never get bored with this funny cast.

I like the dark drama elements. Thumbs up for ending the movie bromance style.
