Another Earth (2011)

Another Earth is a 2011 American independent science fiction-drama film directed by Mike Cahill. The film stars William Mapother and Brit Marling. It premiered at the 27th Sundance Film Festival in January 2011 and was distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The film received generally mixed to positive reviews, and earned two nominations from the Saturn Awards for Brit Marling's performance and for Cahill and Marling's writing. The musical score was composed by Fall on Your Sword, with the exception of the song played in the musical saw scene, composed by Scott Munson and performed by Natalia Paruz.

On the night of the discovery of a duplicate Earth in the Solar system, an ambitious young student and an accomplished composer cross paths in a tragic accident.

Another Earth critique scene
There's a second earth in the fucking sky with some crazy alien copies of you and nobody seems to care!!! I don't care about the personal problems of any of the characters. I care about humanity!!!
Not real science fiction
This movie isn't sci-fi! It's bull crap. It made me mad. You can't simply photoshop a planet in the sky and call it science fiction...
