I Origins (2014)

I Origins is a 2014 American science fiction drama film written, directed, and produced by Mike Cahill. The independent production premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2014. It won the Best Feature Length Film Award at the Festival Internacional de Cinema FantΓ stic de Catalunya on October 11th, 2014. We're not in production yet, but we set up at Fox Searchlight".

A graduate student, Ian Gray, is researching the evolution of human eyes with Karen and Kenny, in order to discredit creationists by proving that eyes have evolved. Seven years later, when the hospital takes an iris scan of his son and enters into the database, they appear to match with another person's eyes, which suggested that their son may be some sort of reincarnation of the deceased man.
