Theme Week Wrap-Up John Leguizamo Week This was not one of our strongest theme weeks, but it still had good surprises. We found one near mind-blowing highlight, one absolute disaster, and a few films in between that were messy, funny, or unexpectedly informative. Top Pick of the Week Critical Thinking (2020) - 72/100 A solid biopic directed by and starring John Leguizamo that made us want to dust off the chessboard. Ranked Board From best to worst, this is how our five picks landed. The gap between first and last place was huge, but the week still gave us a fun actor-focused ride with one standout and one unforgettable train wreck. #1 of the Week Critical Thinking (2020) Score: 72/100 A motivating true-story drama with Leguizamo in top form as teacher Mario Martinez. #2 of the Week Summer of Sam (1999) Score...

Weekly Theme Announcement Welcome to Our 12th Week: John Leguizamo Week Hello folks! We're back for our themed weeks and our little lottery has brought us movies with John Leguizamo in a leading role this week. It's 5 days, 5 movies, from Tuesday to Saturday. Tradition continues here at Freddy's Cine It. Why Leguizamo? I have no fu**ing idea why we have his name written on our magic papers, but I was the one who wrote it, not Krasnaya. I must have probably seen a bit of stand-up from him that I enjoyed and that's why I decided to try some of his comedy films. We are always looking for hidden gems and surprising films, and we hope to find it all with this Colombian-born actor and comedian who's not a big name in Hollywood or in independent cinema. See you tomorrow! Leguizamo's Hollywood career started in 1993 after playing the lead part as Luigi in the Super Mario Bros mo...
