The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013)

The Keeper of Lost Causes it's a 2013 Danish crime film directed by Mikkel Nørgaard, starring Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Fares Fares and Sonja Richter. It's an adaptation of the novel Kvinden i buret by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen. It was the top box office film in Denmark in 2013. A film adaptation of "Fasandræberne" is filming in 2014, with expected release in the fall of that year. Both films star Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares.

Chief detective Carl MΓΈrck and his assistant Assad become involved in a five-year-old case concerning the mystery of politician Merete Lynggaard's disappearance - a journey that takes them deep into the undercurrent of abuse and malice that lurks beneath the polished surface of Scandinavia.
