SABU week 2 wrap-up

Hello dear visitors! For a quick wrap-up, this is what we got last week: 2005 was a weird year for SABU and we got Dead Run , which is a very depressing movie without SABU's usual dark humor, and Hold Up Down , which should be completely avoided because it is really bad. Monday (2000) is probably one of his best movies from his early years and really worth a watch for its quirky dark sense of humor. Kanikosen (2009)  is SABU's political movie about the struggle of the proletarian aboard a crab factory boar, really interesting due to its historical setting, and both me and Krasnaya enjoyed it very much. Dancing Mary (2019) is a really funny movie for me (Krasnaya didn't like it very much), it has lots of style and I found it very original. We are leaving you a TOP 10 list of SABU's best movies so that you can know where to start. Trust us, we are experts... (We didn't watch, therefore, consider for this list the following movies: Unlucky Monkey, Hard Luck Hero, H...

The 2009 film Kanikosen is a hardcore social film based on the 1929 novel of the same name by famed writer Takiji Kobayashi. It shows the totalitarian system of imperial Japan. And here, too, SABU weirdly touches on the Christianity subject. I'm interested in knowing what happened to him in 2005; that he could not avoid this theme in any way. Hold Up Down turned out to be jerky and uneven in mood. Sometimes a smile appeared on my face and sometimes I was hand-gesturing to hurry it up (the fight scene was unbearably long). Still, I watched the film to the end. It turned out to be trashy,...

Today we have Dead Run, a 2005 film about a boy named Shuji ( Yuya Tegoshi)  and his life experiences. Honestly, I’ll start by saying that at the end of the film I was completely confused. Week 8 Theme Announcement

Hi everyone! No big news here for those who have been following us here at Freddy's Cine It. We are just formalizing our 8th week theme. Let's keep watching SABU's movies. We will bring you the best scenes, music and awesome GIFs. Join us, comment and have fun! So, the truth is, I've made so many films, but I still don't consider myself a filmmaker. I didn't have a particular desire to be a filmmaker in the beginning, so I still lack the confidence, to tell you the truth. I think it really helped that I worked for over 10 years as an actor, so I knew how the crew was supposed to function, and I understood how the set operates, and I had a sense of that. I also like to create stories, and that helped, as well. I was also in a band and so was interested in music, so I knew how to incorporate score, for instance. I also studied at the Osaka fashion school, so I had a sense of how art, fashion and wardrobe were supposed to work, as well. And it just all comes down...
